Canadian inflation edges down to 2.3% as gasoline prices slow

Canada’s headline inflation rate slowed slightly to 2.3% last month, versus economist expectations for it to hold steady at 2.4%, as last year’s temporary federal sales tax break continued to push up annual price growth.
